16. Joint Commission Accreditation Preparation

Over the past 25 years, M.L. Schwartz & Associates has assisted numerous hospitals in preparing for the Joint Commission. Assistance has been provided at three levels of need:

Level I:
Includes pre-inspection surveying and critiques to hospitals who feel extremely confident of their internal capabilities to develop the necessary information but merely wish an impartial observer to review their work.

Level II:
Includes the development of the format and structure necessary to assist a hospital in writing their policies and procedures.

Level III:
Includes actually writing the policies and procedures for the hospital and assisting the department managers in implementing them.

Special attention is provided to each hospital in administrative areas such as administrative policies and procedures, board policies and procedures, medical staff rules, regulations and by-laws, and hospital personnel policies and procedures.
